The Village of Summit is located near I-55 (Stevenson) and 1st Avenue. Summit shares borders with Lyons to the North, McCook to the West, Chicago to the East and Bedford Park to the South. Summit is also located within the limits of Lyons Township and as of 2018 has an approximate population of 11,000. Summit is approximately 2.257 square miles.
