Yes, you can pay Cook County traffic tickets online through Cook County Clerk

Traffic tickets may NOT be paid via Cook County Clerk online payment website if your ticket is marked "must appear" or if you have a violation that is by statute a "must appear" violation.

Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place over digital devices like cell phones, computers, and tablets. Cyberbullying can occur through SMS, Text, and apps, or online in social media, forums, or gaming where people can view, participate in, or share content. Cyberbullying includes sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false, or mean content about someone else. It can include sharing personal or private information about someone else causing embarrassment or humiliation. Some cyberbullying crosses the line into unlawful or criminal behavior.

The most common places where cyberbullying occurs are:

• Social Media, such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter
• SMS (Short Message Service) also known as Text Message sent through devices
• Instant Message (via devices, email provider services, apps, and social media messaging features)
• Email

Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time.

If you were arrested and released at the Summit Police Department, your court information will be on the bottom right hand corner of your traffic tickets (yellow in color) or in the middle of the page of your bond receipt, in the dark gray box. We are in the 5th District court system meaning we send all cases to district 5 Court, located at 10220 S. 76th Avenue, Bridgeview, IL 60455

If you received a Local Ordinance Violation and requested a hearing, the courthouse is at the Police Department at 5810 S. Archer road. You should have received your court date when your requested your hearing.

If you have a complaint to file against a police officer or municipality in general go to that municipality in person, preferably during normal business hours, and request a complaint form.

Job postings for positions with the Summit Police Department are not posted on the Summit Police Website. They are posted on theblueline.com. Applications can be obtained by visiting the Summit Police Department during normal business hours. Please do not email the webmaster with your resume. 

By law, motorists must notify the Illinois Secretary of State's office within 10 days when their address or name changes (Illinois Vehicle Code, Sec. 3-416, 6-116 and 6-511). This will ensure that you receive your renewal notices and other correspondence at the appropriate address.

If you would like to update the address on your actual driver's license/State ID card, you must visit a Secretary of State facility and bring one Acceptable Identification (Group D) and pay the appropriate fee.

Yes, people are encouraged to meet at safe, well lit, and public places when buying and selling items through apps like "let go" and "offer up". The Summit Police Department parking lot (South side) is one of those places.
