Home Energy Assessment

Save Money on Your Power Bill with Free Energy Assessment

As temperatures drop and your thermostat goes up, you can save money on your bill through a free energy assessment.

ComEd is partnering with your natural gas utility to provide the assessments for your home, multi-family building or business. An energy advisor will do a visual assessment to determine how energy is used in your space and provide a personalized recommendation with ways to save energy and money.

The advisor may also install energy-saving products like ENERGY STAR® certified LEDs, programmable thermostats, hot water pipe insulation, advanced power strips, WaterSense® certified showerheads, and faucet aerators for bathrooms and kitchens.

For a free assessment:

  • Owners of single-family homes, two-flats, condos and town homes, and renters in these buildings call 1-855-433-2700 — with the landlord’s permission.
  • Landlords or property managers of multi-family residences also call 1-855-433-2700.
  • Businesses and public sector facilities request an assessment online here.

Don’t forget to have your ComEd and natural gas utility account numbers ready when you call.

Residential and business customers save money through programs made possible by the Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA), which was passed by the Illinois General Assembly.
